Sam Chun Dang Pharm (usually written Samchundang Pharm) makes prescription drugs in Korea, led by ophthalmic products such as eye drops, partly through its KOSDAQ-listed subsidiary Optus Pharm, and is commercialising SCD411, a biosimilar of the eye drug Eylea (aflibercept), through regional partners: approved in Canada (June 2025) and Japan (September 2025) and exported to Europe since December 2025, with US approval being sought through partner Fresenius Kabi. In 2025, consolidated revenue was KRW 231.8bn; of product and merchandise sales before consolidation adjustments, ophthalmic drugs were 61.1%, circulatory 7.5%, digestive 4.4%, respiratory 4.2%, antibiotics 3.9%, other products 7.1% and merchandise 11.9%, and exports were 14.0% of the parent company's sales. It is also developing oral versions of injectable drugs, including oral semaglutide generics licensed to partners in the US, Europe and Japan and oral insulin SCD0503 (Phase 1 in Germany).
